Two healthy options

What should an uncircumcised man or teenage boy do with his foreskin? Certainly he should not have it cut off! There are two healthy options:

Option 1: keep it loose, by pulling it back frequently so as to stretch it.
Option 2: keep it permanently retracted.

Option 1 is the one that, anecdotally, a lot of men have chosen.
Option 2 is the one I prefer — I chose this option many years ago, and have never regretted that decision. Option 2 offers the advantages of being circumcised, and without the risks inherent in surgery. For instance:

If you choose option 1, when in the bath or the shower you need to pull your foreskin back so as to wash inside. With option 2, the inside of the foreskin is always exposed, so it automatically gets washed — along with the knob — when you are in the bath or the shower. Option 2 also prevents stray pubic hairs from getting painfully trapped between foreskin and knob.

I found Option 2 was comfortable when I still wore underpants, and it is at least as comfortable now that I have (thank goodness!) given up wearing them.

Neither option seems to be mentioned much by naturists, IRL or in print or on the internet. However, H&E quite frequently features photos of men who appear to have chosen Option 2.

Is there a plain English term for Option 2? My suggestion is free-knob.
